Payments
Payment questions, answered
Everything about paying for services, events and memberships.
Which payment methods do you accept?
Major credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Link, through Stripe’s secure checkout. For eligible services we also accept Step Up For Students (SUFS) funding; contact us before booking to confirm eligibility.
How do memberships renew?
Memberships renew automatically each billing period at the price you joined at, charged to the card saved with Stripe. You will see the renewal date in Account › Services, and we email a receipt and invoice each time.
How do I cancel a membership?
Go to Account › Services and choose Cancel membership (or use the app). Renewal stops, and you keep access and benefits until the end of the period you paid for. You can turn renewal back on before then.
What do members get at checkout?
Membership benefits apply automatically when you are signed in: included sessions or tickets show as Included, and member pricing shows the discount next to the original price.
How do I update my card?
Choose Manage payment methods in Billing. It opens Stripe’s secure portal where you can add or replace a card.
What happens if a renewal payment fails?
Stripe retries automatically over several days and we email you. Your membership shows as past due and benefits pause until the payment goes through or you update your card.
How long do refunds take?
Refunds go back to your original payment method and usually appear within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.
When is payment due?
Payment is due before services are provided unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Do any services require a deposit?
Yes. A 50% deposit is required to reserve Educational Assessments and Parent Consultation Services that involve school-related document reviews such as IEPs, 504 plans and evaluation reports.
Where can I find my receipts and invoices?
Every payment creates a branded PDF invoice in your portal under Billing. You can download it anytime.
How do discount codes work?
Enter your code at checkout. Codes may apply to specific services, events or meetings and may have expiry dates or usage limits.
What is your cancellation policy?
Reschedule or cancel at least 24 hours before your session. Late cancellations and no-shows may be charged in full. See our refunds & cancellations policy for details.
I think I was charged incorrectly. What should I do?
Please contact us first by choosing Billing or Payment dispute on our contact form with your order number. A manager reviews every dispute, usually within two business days.
Can my school or organization pay?
Yes. Schools, districts and organizations can be invoiced. Book a free account help session or contact us.
Is my payment information secure?
Yes. Payments are processed by Stripe, a PCI DSS Level 1 certified provider, on Stripe’s own secure page. BasicsConnect never sees or stores your full card number.
Can prices change?
Prices on the site are always current. If a price changes while you are checking out, we show the new total before you pay. Membership price changes are announced at least 30 days before your next renewal.
